Its official page says guests can walk to Fushansuo Station on Metro Line 2 and May Fourth Square Station on Line 3, with The MIXC and other shopping nearby. IHG also notes that room bathrooms vary between a shower and a bathtub, which is a small but important distinction for couples choosing a category.
What recent travelers suggest: central access, nearby shopping, staff helpfulness and room cleanliness are recurring positives across recent public reviews. Some guests describe the physical product as older in places, and recent reports also raise room-specific issues such as weaker soundproofing. One 2026 account specifically found that the booked expectation of a bathtub did not match the first assigned room, although staff resolved the issue. Upgrade to Shangri-La when its room, service inclusions and shared facilities clearly improve both partners' stay. Move to The St. Regis only when the bay-view hotel experience is itself one of the experiences you came to Qingdao to have.
